My Flavor of the Day
On what seems like a 4th straight day of rain here in Maryland, a trusty diver seemed more than appropriate. My choice to close out the week is the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms "Dark Night". This watch is a special edition of the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscape Diver that Blancpain is well known for. This special edition model has the numerals on the bezel smoked-out, and become more visible through enhanced lighting. The dial markers and hands are smoked-out as well, giving the timepiece a tactical look. Even the sailcloth strap has muted contrast stitching. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill dive watch.
Pairing this beautiful Blancpain today with a hematite beaded bracelet further enhancing the black-steel motif.
